Bang Zoom Pow is a creative studio in San Diego, CA that specializes in telling provocative stories through design, illustration and film. Bang Zoom Pow is the brainchild of Ty Mabrey, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, film-enthusiast, and advocate for Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Ty was home-grown in the deep south then later schooled in the concrete jungle of New York city. Shortly after graduating, Ty moved to California in search of black gold, but found a love for video production, dad jokes and burritos instead.

Ty began his career in biotech communications as layout artist, but left the confinement of a corporate cubicle after a few years then set out to find fortune and glory as an independent contractor, and quickly found hope at the end of the tunnel with no entrance.

When the Covid pandemic swept the nation, Ty decided to follow a dream before the chips fell and began making independent creative content. He’s currently working on his first novel.
